Horse Racing tips: Ruby Walsh’s 3 best bets at Navan and Gowran Park on Saturday

Navan 15:25 – Bronn

Bronn won well at Naas when he beat Killer Mode but the third horse, Flame Bearer, was more impressive as he’s won twice since. Bronn disappointed at the Dublin Racing Festival when stepped right up in trip but they’re doing back down so hopefully he can put his best foot forward. A reproduction of his Naas run should be good enough to win here.

Navan 16:00 – Master McShee

Notebook is rated 159 and Cilaos Emery is a 160 horse but the really interesting one is the novice, Master McShee, with a rating of 152. He has to give Notebook 2lbs and Cilaos Emery 4lbs so that’ll be a big ask for a novice but he’s been rock solid and is the one in the field that’s still progressive.

Gowran Park 16:20 – Shadow Rider

It’s over two years since Aione had a run when he was behind Monkfish in the Albert Bartlett. Shadow Rider hasn’t run in almost a year but at this trip, on this day I’d probably be with him. He’s schooled well at home and he seems to be in good form.
