14:15 – Fearless
The Olly Murphy-trained Weebill arrives on a hat-trick having won at plating level the last twice, but preference is for stablemate FEARLESS who has predominantly been running well in handicap chases in recent months. Coole Well was third to Weebill at Leicester last time and could also be involved.

14:50 – Sweet Auburn
The Donald McCain-trained SWEET AUBURN has won a point and a bumper and is taken to make a winning hurdle debut. Having won in fine style on her hurdle debut at Wetherby in January, Bonne Vitesse faded at Carlisle last time having failed to settle, and today’s speedier track is in her favour. She’s the clear second choice, although Betty Baloo and Billams Legacy are others who could run well.
15:25 – Da Vinci Hand
Chasing newcomers The Sumba Island and Highate Hill are both in good hands and not without interest, especially if the market speaks in their favour, but DA VINCI HAND (nap) scored in great style here last week and is impossible to oppose under a 7lb penalty with his stamina also proven at this longer trip.
16:00 – Lalochezia
A case can be made for all of the quintet, but the most persuasive one is for LALOCHEZIA who showed a good attitude when gaining his breakthrough win in a Kelso maiden and is weighted to follow up back in handicap company with this longer trip also a plus. The consistent Spike Jones is next on the list tackling 3m for the first time, while Doncaster scorer Flexi Furlough is firmly in the mix too.

16:35 – Champagnesuperover
None of this trio can be safely ruled out, but CHAMPAGNESUPEROVER holds the clear edge on form and advertised his wellbeing when a good recent third at Wetherby so he gets the nod; Fergal O’Brien’s Ask A Honey Bee is feared most if resurgent in first-time blinkers, while the very lightly raced Upton Road can have a say too if, as expected, building on his Exeter fourth which came after an absence.
17:10 – Lucky Lara
The lightly raced 7yo LUCKY LARA was a fairly encouraging fourth on her chase debut in a Taunton handicap in January and that performance reads well in today’s context. Five-time point winner Absainte looks the main danger.
17:40 – Upagainstit
Warwick runner-up Toucan Sam is a strong contender, but preference is for UPAGAINSTIT who was a promising second in his sole point-to-point and has joined Donald McCain for his rules career. All of the newcomers make some appeal on paper and should be monitored in the betting.
