WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
13:45 – Our Bill’s Aunt
OUR BILL’S AUNT has progressed with each start over hurdles, finding only one rival too strong on her last two starts, still having every chance when making a mistake jumping two out at Lingfield last time. She proved no match for the winner afterwards, but should have more to offer after just three starts, and she sets a good standard on form. Mourne Lass looks the obvious danger whilst Dillarchie should also give a good account.
14:20 – Broomfields Kan
BROOMFIELDS KAN was notably easy to back but match the pick of his efforts since joining this yard when runner-up at Ayr last month. He was beaten only by one who had fallen to a career-low mark and returned to form and has since won again, so it’s safe to say he bumped into one that day. Broomfields Kan is fitted with first-time cheekpieces now dropped back to two miles and a similar performance should see him in the mix. Gosuatri didn’t figure on his sole previous chase start but has shown he can be competititve off this sort of mark over hurdles and is feared most.

14:55 – Netywell
It was a decent novice in which NETYWELL was fourth at Carlisle last month and he wasn’t seen to best effect either. He was patiently ridden and wasn’t helped by a mistake when jumping the final flight. There should be more to come from him, though, and this doesn’t look as deep of a race, so he is expected to open his account. Ritson, who found just one too strong at Carlisle recently, is second choice.
15:30 – Chti Balko
There are a few with chances, but CHTI BALKO has been given a real chance by the official assessor here and is taken to bag his first success of the season. He is now 12 lb lower than his last winning mark and he didn’t run too badly when runner-up at Uttoxeter last time, so it is surprising he has been dropped a further 2 lb. Fontana Ellissi arrives at the top of his game and is feared most.
16:05 – Buster Valentine
BUSTER VALENTINE has frustrated his supporters in recent weeks but this looks a good opportunity for Mark Walford’s charge to go one better than his runner-up effort at Musselburgh 15 days ago where he bumped into an improver. The main threat could be Seven No Trumps, who made a winning start over fences at Lingfield in November, so he could get back on track and prove his Boxing Day effort was just a minor blip.

16:40 – Motown Lake
MOTOWN LAKE was gambled on for his chasing and handicap debut at Wincanton in January but was beaten when falling. However, he proved that money to be correct when producing a much improved display to open his account at Uttoxeter last month, seeing things out much better in first-time cheekpieces. He remains totally unexposed at this trip and in this sphere so is a strong fancy to follow up. The Lion Dancer and Aughnacurra King are feared most.
17:10 – Grey Dawning
GREY DAWNING overcame inexperience to make a winning debut over course and distance in December and that form has been boosted by the runner-up scoring since. There should be plenty more to come from Grey Dawning now and will likely prove hard to beat for a top yard. Royal Mogul, who finished runner-up in a C&D event last month, can pose the chief threat.
