Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day. And, because we love Saturdays, today we’re throwing in some prize picks from our top pundits.
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) with one from the top of the NAPs table and one from Mick Fitzgerland, Ruby Walsh and Matt Chapman. Let’s get to the bets…
NORTH LODGE should be able to give weight and a beating to this lot for Alan King and Adrian Heskin. The son of Presenting won at Aintree in his first effort Under Rules and followed up in good style at Cheltenham. He looks promising and surely has more to offer.
AMOUR DE NUIT loves a flat track, winning nicely in the end at Musselburgh last time. He ran very well when third in a good handicap in November behind a smart horse of Venetia Williams, Fanion D’estruval. He looks to be be fairly handicapped, but this is an open contest.
CHEDDLETON has run well in all four starts this season but hasn’t been able to add to two novice wins at the end of 2020. Often makes the running and should be a big factor.
GENTLEMAN DE MEE‘s in great form and his form looks solid. He has Fancy Foundations to beat but he was well behind Ciel De Neige at Navan on his last start so I’d expect Gentleman De Mee to collect.
