WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
12:49 – Away Wit Da Fairys
Andrew Balding’s C&D winner Reticent is still very lightly raced and could resume her progress on this drop back in trip, while there are also some unexposed handicap newcomers who need watching in the market including the well-bred Nonsuch Lad. However, the most solid option is AWAY WIT DA FAIRYS, who has been consistent in handicaps and made a bold bid behind an improver at Wolverhampton last Friday.
13:24 – Surrey Princess
Preference is for the lightly raced 4yo SURREY PRINCESS, who got off the mark when justifying favourisim at Chelmsford last month and is open to more progress on her step up to this trip. The other last-time-out winner Hammy End is feared most, though Blazer Two has finished runner-up in his last four starts and he should be in the thick of things again. The other one on the shortlist is Mint Julep, who still has potential and needs checking in the market on her return.
13:59 – Sir Joseph Swan
Pilot Wings is well worth another go at 1m4f but the trip will also suit SIR JOSEPH SWAN who ran so encouragingly over C&D on his return from a short break and then failed only narrowly back at 1m2f here since. Pilot Wings came home strongly behind the selection that day and is the main danger ahead of Libbretta and Stormingin.

14:34 – Obsidian Knight (NAP)
Marion’s Boy continues on the up and ought to go well once more but the two last-time-out winners Red Flyer and OBSIDIAN KNIGHT (nap) appeal most. Preference is for Obsidian Knight, who showed a tactical event over C&D held no terrors when producing some good closing sectionals in a novice event four weeks ago. This opening mark should underestimate him.
15:09 – Hot Hot Hot
Munificent landed a gamble narrowly at Wolverhampton last month and he should make a bold bid to defy a small rise in the weights. Hope Springs still has a bigger run in her but HOT HOT HOT could go well back at 5f and with a recent pipe opener behind her.
15:50 – Strong Power
One Night Stand enjoyed his finest hour in a Listed event here last week but he was given a copybook ride on that occasion and isn’t sure to confirm his superiority over either Tone The Barone or STRONG POWER. The selection has flourished for Alice Haynes this year and can gain his fourth C&D win in 2022. Night On Earth was pipped here yesterday.

16:19 – Witch Hunter
Chrysos looked set for better things when winning over 1m here a fortnight ago and he’s respected but El Caballo, Canonized and WITCH HUNTER help set a good standard. All three have to prove themselves over this trip but Richard Hannon’s colt looks likely to improve for 7f and he might be the answer.
16:54 – Aljaryaal
Most of the runners have possibilities but top of the list is ALJARYAAL, who found more progress on his step up to 2m when beating a clear second over C&D last Saturday. Oceanline went very close off a similar mark at Kempton on his penultimate run and he’s feared most back in a Class 4 event. Black Kalanisi should be in the mix again on his drop back in trip, while Famous Star still has potential and she could kick on again on her return to 2m.
