17:45 Newcastle – SWEETEST COMPANY
SWEETEST COMPANY stepped into her first handicap last time and came out of that race with a good few positives, just when the race started in earnest she was caught a bit flat-footed and was a touch babyish before finding her stride and hitting the line nicely. With that under her belt, she can step forward and get that first victory on the board.

18:30 Dundalk – RAZDAN
RAZDAN finally got his head in front on the 14th time of asking and is only having his third start for the new trainer who’s obviously found the key to him as it was an impressive performance when not strictly best in from an official ratings point of view. He looks to have quite a bit in his favour dipping his toe back into handicap company from an unchanged mark.
19:15 Newcastle – DUE A WIN
Did really well last time over course and distance. He was sent for home a long way out and paid the price in the final 150 yards as there was an incredibly strong headwind that night. DUE A WIN gets the perfect pitch right up against the stand-side rail, so can be smuggled up in behind the leaders early on. You’d have to think he has a bit of wriggle room from a lowly handicap mark of just 51.

19:30 Dundalk – TALBOT
Didn’t immediately sparkle for the transition to this trainer, however TALBOT‘s last couple of efforts at this track have been much more like it, an eye-catching run here over tonight‘s distance was followed by a little disappointing effort when fairly warm in the market but appearing not to last out over the mile. A more experienced climber takes over in the saddle and he can gain an overdue success for his handler.

19:45 Newcastle – BALLYARE
BALLYARE is going to need just about a career best to win from where he is in the handicap. However, that’s entirely possible considering the form of his run last time when a solid second that has been rubberstamped by the winner who put up a good performance in a very hot contest behind Soldiers Minute. With a few of these likely to contest a strong pace, it should set up nicely for a rider to pounce late on.
20:30 Dundalk – OBLIVIATE
Could be a good night for Joseph O’Brien although he may have to play second fiddle to his brother in the big race of the evening, as Donnacha looks to hold all the aces with Absolute Ruler. OBLIVIATE has been caught in between trips the last twice and now looks to tackle her ideal distance of the mile. She has a nice inside stall position and can take advantage of a good looking handicap mark of 61.
