All three are in with a shout here, but OSCARS LEADER showed excellent battling qualities to score at Newcastle on Saturday and is taken to follow up under his 7lb penalty. In-form duo File Illico and Pride Of Lecale are both weighted to have a say too though and seem sure to be on the premises in a tight-knit handicap.

Dawn Raider was a clearcut winner at Carlisle last week but he has good and bad days now and the quick return, along with his modest strike-rate, are rather off-putting. Cheekpieces helped RING THE MOON last winter and this course winner may well return to form off a favourable mark with them back on for the first time this campaign. Elmdale and For Fitz Sake are others to consider.

16:05 – Marracudja

It probably isn’t plain sailing with MARRACUDJA, who was reluctant to race once in the autumn, but hopefully his recent close third at Hereford, when rallying with purpose, has put him back on the right tracks. Pure Vision has a big run in him after stamina, and a late stutter by the second, won him the day at Ffos Las but his very infrequent appearances now raise questions about whether he can sustain his form.

16:35 – Rebel Dawn Rising

A case can be made for most of these, but the most persuasive one is for REBEL DAWN RISING who completed his hat-trick in points most impressively just ten days ago. Sixteen Letters also comes here in winning form in points and is feared most ahead of Benefaktor.
