Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
14:10 Hereford -The Street (Sunday Mail, Rockavon)
Nicely backed when making a winning handicap debut at Chepstow (2m3f, soft) this month and is open to further progress; 5lb higher mark but rider takes off 10lb; THE STREET should be thereabouts for stable that has been going well.
14:50 Fontwell – Brewin’upastorm (888Sport, Steve Mullington)
Impressive winner of this 12 months ago, BREWIN’UPASTORM might well have been 3-3 for the season (and since latest wind surgery) but for his late fall at Cheltenham in January; didn’t look overly happy on the heavy ground but still led when it mattered to beat Darver Star on these same terms over this trip at Lingfield last month; hard to knock.
15:10 Hereford – Cuban Pete (Weekender, Paul Kealy)
Dual course winner, latterly over today’s trip on soft ground in November 2020; lightly raced and generally disappointing since but CUBAN PETE will appreciate today’s drop in grade and the first-time cheekpieces might perk him up.
17:00 Naas – Palace Rock (Irish Daily Star, Brian Flanagan)
Progressive this term; placed in a pair of 2m handicap hurdles before finding only one too good when stepped up in trip at Navan last time; return to shorter should help PALACE ROCK settle but unproven on ground this testing and he’s gone up 5lb.
