It’s Boyne Hurdle day at Navan and a field of 14 runners have been declared for the Grade 2. Darasso steps up in trip after scoring in last month’s Limestone Lad while Grand National prospect Longhouse Poet is using the race as a prep for Aintree. Beacon Edge, the winner of last year’s Boyne Hurdle, faces a maximum of five rivals in the Ten Up Novice Chase, while the Listed Apple’s Jade Mares Novice Hurdle adds further class to the card.

The Class 2 Benjamin Leigh Memorial Novices’ Handicap Chase heads the meeting at Newbury, with Shakem Up’Arry topping the weights from the likes of Maskada and Amarillo Sky. There’s also National Hunt action at Musselburgh.
