Lingfield Races jumps

13:35 Lingfield – Teddy Blue (Steve Mullington)

TEDDY BLUE ended four-race Flat career in France with comfortable 1m6f win in September, running to a fairly useful level. Has reasonable standard to reach on today’s hurdling debut but it’s worth noting he’s entered in next month’s Triumph Hurdle.

16:40 Newcastle – Resumption (Morning Star, Farringdon)

RESUMPTION was unsuited by drop back to 9.4f on final 3yo start but has shown improved form with two comfortable wins over C&D this year and remains highly unexposed at about 1m4f. Likely to progress again and cope with his new mark upped further in grade. Big player.

16:50 Ayr – Nifty Getaway (Ben Morgan)

NIFTY GETAWAY failed to complete in two Irish points but unlucky (fell at the last when in front) on the second occasion. Made late headway behind a front-running winner when third on rules debut at Ludlow (2m, good to soft; 7-2) in December. Her trainer Archie Watson is 2-8 (25%) in bumpers this season.

17:45 Newcastle – Tommy Taylor (Andy Morris)

Considering that he’s made a cracking start to 2022 and remains well treated on the form of his younger days, TOMMY TAYLOR could well complete a Newcastle five-timer. His main threats appear to be Millionaire Waltz, Shalaa Asker and Mawkeb in that order of preference.
