STORM OF LIGHT won a Uttoxeter maiden hurdle (2m4f, good) in November on his third start and kept on for third on subsequent handicap debut at Leicester (2m4f, soft), when shaping as though today’s longer trip would suit.
WIGGLESWORTH gained an unlikely success at Worcester on his chasing debut in September but has failed to complete the course on three of his four starts since, although at Doncaster last time that was through no fault of his own (going smoothly four out when a stirrup leather came undone). Has to be respected.
BOLD CONDUCT was a useful winner of an Irish point in 2018 but off for three years after. Had a respectable return at Exeter but pulled up next time, only to run well for a long way behind much higher rated rivals at Wincanton last month. This lesser test can suit now handicap/chasing and he has potential if all is well with him. Tongue tied this time.
ROXZOFF confirmed previous promise when gaining his breakthrough win in 7f Wolverhampton handicap 17 days ago, doing especially well to overcome a wide draw; big player nudged up just 1lb here.
