16:55 – Wonder Starelzaam

Denis Coakley’s 4yo WONDER STARELZAAM (nap) won quite stylishly when upped to 1m at Lingfield three weeks ago and has clearly thrived since switching to his new stable. He remains unexposed over this trip and gets the nod ahead of Dark Company, who is also in good form but lacks the selection’s potential. Hold Fast has more to prove but will be dangerous off his current mark if back on song.

17:25 – Placated

Yorktown has been beaten less than 2l on Polytrack in his last two starts and has leading claims at the weights here, but slight preference is for the lightly raced 4yo PLACATED, who went very close at Lingfield 11 days ago and is open to further progress. Star Of Epsom travelled well for a long way over 1m4f last time and looks interesting on her drop back in trip, while another who could be in the mix is Harbour Project.

17:55 – Nahanni

This can go to Charlie Appleby’s NAHANNI, who made a good start when a clear second over C&D last month and sets the standard on that form. The main danger is Mhajim, who made some promising late headway at Lingfield four weeks ago and looks a likely improver upped in trip on his second start. A couple of well-bred newcomers who need watching in the market are Little Hustle and the selection’s stablemate Thundersquall.

18:30 – Rainbow Dreamer

The rematch between Nayef Road and Roberto Escobarr could be close, as the former is 1-1 on AW and the latter is bred to take well to this surface (he’s brother to a Kempton Listed winner for his connections). They are strong contenders but, in receipt of 3lb, RAINBOW DREAMER is taken to record a third success in this race. Sleeping Lion is also worth a look.

19:00 – Lincoln Gamble

Preference is for the resurgent front-runner LINCOLN GAMBLE, who made it 2-4 for Ivan Furtado when completing a double at Wolverhampton two weeks ago and is only 1lb higher here. Another hat-trick seeker Bobby On The Beat is feared most, though Closing Bell could be dangerous on her step back up in trip and another to keep an eye on is the unexposed handicap newcomer Monaajez.

19:30 – The Mad Monk

A few potential improvers are lurking on their handicap debuts and one of them is the now-gelded THE MAD MONK, who qualified for his mark at top tracks. Twistaline is more solid than most and both Adaayinyourlife and Aurelia Gold can go well.

20:00 – Whatzupwithme

Mark Loughnane’s WHATZUPWITHME looks to have as good a chance as any, as a C&D winner who looked unlucky last time. Marchetti could be better drawn but she’s made a decent start for Jimmy Fox and could be the danger, ahead of Pedestal.
