13:20 – CURRENT MOOD
This looks between the three penalised winners, with the mare CURRENT MOOD getting the vote having gone close in listed company last time. A dual point winner, she has been quite highly tried after winning her first two starts over hurdles, briefly looking as though she’d pinched it from the front at Haydock last time but just collared on the line, and she should remain competitive back down in class. Kingofthewest is next best ahead of Super Six.

13:55-KYNTARA
KYNTARA looked a smart prospect when routing some subsequent winners in a bumper at Warwick around this time last year, but failed to meet market expectations on his hurdling debut, his jumping letting him down. However, he shaped much better when runner-up at Warwick in December, but again a sloppy jump at the last probably cost him victory. He will likely have learnt plenty from that experience and he appears to have been found an excellent opportunity to open his account in this sphere. Blackjack Magic promises to be suited by this step up in trip and is feared most.
14:25- DE YOUNG WARRIOR
The Jeremy Scott team remain in good form and there was plenty to like about DE YOUNG WARRIOR‘s debut over fences at Exeter in December. He wasn’t fancied in the betting that day, but that didn’t stop him making a winning start over fences, and he did so in the style of one who has even more to offer in this sphere. He is in a stronger race today, but a subsequent 4lb rise looks more than fair, and he can follow up with further improvement forthcoming. Slipway, another last-time-out winner, is also open to progress, and looks the biggest danger.

15:00 – SUPERVISOR
SUPERVISOR did show ability over hurdles despite not being able to get his head in front, and judged by his chase debut at Uttoxeter he is going to prove much better in this sphere. He was well backed on his return from 10 months and impressed with a few super leaps, but he was a little too free and left the impression he would come on for the run. This mark shouldn’t prove beyond him and this more galloping track should suit. Getmegold is another lightly-raced chaser who likely has more to offer.
15:30 – ANOTHER EMOTION
This looks decidedly trappy and it could be worth taking a chance on ANOTHER EMOTION. He was below his best form on return at Exeter last month, but it is worth noting that he took a sizeable step forward from his reappearance last season, and with a first-time visor potentially putting an extra edge on him, a much better showing could be on the cards. Ashfield Paddy, Eceparti and Silver In Disguise are also worth a look.
16:00 – EATON COLLINA
EATON COLLINA remains relatively lightly raced over hurdles and chased a subsequent winner home while pulling clear of the remainder at Bangor last time. The switch to this stiffer, more galloping track now should play to her strengths and she represents a yard among the winners. She is therefore narrowly preferred to last-time-out winner Full of Light, who is going the right way and will surely be popular for Nicky Henderson.
16:35 – I AM ROCCO
There is plenty of depth to this bumper, but I AM ROCCO is from a successful family, and represents a yard with few peers if any when it comes to readying a newcomer. He gets the vote with Sporting Ace and Rockinastorm just about the pick of those with Rules experience, while Master Chewy has a £300,000 price tag to uphold and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the market for a yard that know how to win these races.
