16:55 – Eleven Eleven

Soyounique is unpenalised for last week’s apprentice handicap win over 7f at Lingfield and has plenty in his favour for an in-form yard, but he’s been turned over five times as favourite since last January and there’s a doubt about this longer trip. A few could have cases made against him too, including ELEVEN ELEVEN who’s been pulling away his chances over further since his 1m novice win last autumn. Bahia Star and Magical Mile could also run well.

17:30 – Split Elevens

A competitive race for the grade featuring plenty who are happiest on the sharp end. SPLIT ELEVENS is a strong traveller and his recent second to Soyounique may have been boosted by now, with the winner due to run in the opener, but this could well be set up for him either way. Intervention has gone off favourite on all four runs for Michael Appleby and will be popular again switched to a visor but his new mark has kicked in and he boasts a poor strike-rate.

18:00 – Durdle Door

Zarzyni has been consistent since joining David Barron from Ireland and holds an obvious chance on his Polytrack debut, but DURDLE DOOR (nap), whose Lingfield win has been boosted since, is low mileage and could yet be capable of better. Top Breeze, who has a win and three seconds to his name in five runs here, is another to consider.

18:30 – Dark Side Prince

Plenty have possibilities but the vote goes to six-time AW winner DARK SIDE PRINCE, who didn’t really get the breaks in his bid for a four-timer at Wolverhampton last month and could resume his progress if things go more to plan this time. The well-handicapped Ornate has gone close in two of his last three runs and he’s feared most, ahead of Marnie James who ran well in a Class 2 event on Polytrack last time. Both Lihou and Lucky Ava have each-way claims, while another to consider is Night On Earth.

19:00 – Alia Choice

Sherdil sets a fair standard on his early 2yo form and is a key player if he can get back near his best after a break and gelding operation. He’s respected, along with Em Jay Kay, who was an eyecatching third when well backed at Lingfield on his debut last week. However, preference is for Kevin Ryan’s filly ALIA CHOICE, who has a striking pedigree and made a promising start with her fourth behind a very useful rival at Newcastle in December.

19:30 – Bella Colorossa

Al Qaasim isn’t opposed lightly as he goes in search of the hat-trick but he has to prove he can do it on this surface so it might be worth taking him on with BELLA COLOROSSA, who is an improved performer for her new stable. She was a good bit better than the result in a 1m4f Kempton classified last time and the way she travels suggests this shorter trip could be ideal. Brass Clankers may prove best of the remainder.

20:00 – My Lady Claire

The most solid option is MY LADY CLAIRE, who was a brave winner of a classified event over C&D last month and is still unexposed at this trip. The main threat could come from Captain St Lucifer, who won here on his penultimate run and is a big player if he can recapture that form. Third choice is Roby Mill, who had an excuse last time and looks interesting on her step back up to 1m2f.
