Thyestes Chase Tips
Timeform: Gordon Elliott saddles 5 as he bids for a third Thyestes win since 2018 and ESCARIA TEN could be the one to provide it. He presumably found the Irish National coming too soon after his big effort at the Cheltenham Festival and appeals as the type who could resume his progress on his return. Mister Fogpatches has plenty of solid handicap form to his name and is feared most ahead of Braeside.
Racing Post: Overall trends and multiple representation point to the Mullins, Elliott and de Bromhead runners. However, Pat Fahy, who won this with Nuaffe in 1994, has a credible contender in MISTER FOGPATCHES, a consistent sort in valuable staying handicaps. Longhouse Poet has been the ante-post gamble and comes from the stable of the 2004 winner. Foxy Jacks has an each-way chance going right-handed here. Ontheropes may be the pick for Mullins who has won this in five of the last ten years, with Braeside and Eklat De Rire, most appealing of the runners from the two other powerhouse yards.
