13:20 Lingfield – Fameaftertheglory
Gavin Cromwell is bringing a few horses over for valuable prizes at Lingfield and this son of Fame and Glory has bumped into a couple in his two starts over hurdles. He has been favourite in his last four starts and is highly thought of but experience could be key. Fameaftertheglory has to be respected. Ballygrifincottage moved up menacingly at Cheltenham behind Blazing Khal who is one of the favourites for the Albert Bartlett at the festival. If he can come on from that he is a real danger but I am going with Fameaftertheglory.

13:50 Lingfield – War Lord
The Tizzard team are in much better form than when War Lord ran at Sandown in a Grade 1. I would be happier backing this lad on the recent form of the stable. This looks a really good fit for him and he is proven on the ground so that is not a worry. Il Ridoto was impressive at Newbury and the fact that he has form in France bodes well for him as this ground is very similar to what they have in France.

14:25 Lingfield – Darver Star
Gavin Cromwell sends over Darver Star who was good enough to be placed in a Champion Hurdle after they tried chasing with him. He did win but never looked that comfortable or as good. He finished third behind Epatante in the 2020 Champion Hurdle. Brewinupastorm would have won last time but for falling at the last. He handles conditions and is favourite but I just favour the Irish-trained runner.
14:40 Thurles – Jeremys Flame
This is between Jeremys Flame and Minella Melody. Minella Melody was second to Stormy Ireland at Punchestown over hurdles and second to Concertista at Leopardstown. This is a different game though and Jeremys Flame has proven solid form over the larger obstacles. I am going for the experience.
