13:20 Lingfield – Ballygrifincottage
ITV Sunday gets under way here with a novices’ hurdle over 2m7f. BALLYGRIFINCOTTAGE looks like he’s a strong stayer at ths trip and can confirm promise at Cheltenham first time for the in-form Dan and Harry Skelton combination. the point-to-point winner was a 22-1 chance on debut but wasn’t beaten far by Blazing Khal on rules debut. That’s decent form.
13:50 Lingfield – Faivoir
Now a novices’ chase pover 2m. FAIVOIR is a little terrier and might be best suited to the ground of the leading contenders. Another for Dan and Harry Skelton, my hope is consistency personified and was backing to winning ways at Ascot two runs ago before chasing home Pic d’Orhy at that track last time. The winner is decent and Faivoir has every chance of of scoring again.

14:25 Lingfield – Brewinupastorm
A conditions hurdle here over an extended 2m3f. The most likely winner here is BREWINUPASTORM although Goshen has the ability to hack up if ever back to his best. A good winner at Aintree two rruns ago, my selection fell at Cheltenham last time when having every chance. He can gain compensation for Olly Murphy and Aidan Coleman.
14:40 Thurles – Minella Melody
ITV are also over in Ireland for this Grade 2 novices’ chase over an extended 2m4f. Open this. MINELLA MELODY finishes second a lot but has a great chance for Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore. the 142-rated hurdler stays this trip and was a point-to-point winner back in the day so should be able to jump.

15:00 Lingfield – Bristol De Mai
Decent conditions chase now over 2m6f. A cracker this. A good gallop looks assured and I’ll take BRISTOl DE MAI to take this as he drops in grade. Everyone knows the old grey is best at Haydock, but even though he pulled up first time this season at the age of 11 he might still be able to land this for the Twiston-Davies team of Nigel and Sam. I really hope he does it.
15:15 Thurles – Allaho
Another Grade 2 chase here for open company over an extended 2m4f. Not much to say here other than the Ryanair winner ALLAHO will be very hard to beat for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend. With a mark of 174 he should be far too good.

15:35 Lingfield – Pemberley
Finally from Lingfield a handicap chase over 3m5f. Stamina the key and PEMBERLEY is full of it for Emma Lavelle and Tom Bellamy. My hgope has a lovely racing weight and is on a reasonable mark of 116. He goes in mud and is still quite young at the age of seven so might have more to come.
So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
