12:58 Taunton – Outlaw Peter (Daniel Collins)

Outlaw Peter won nicely on stable debut for Paul Nicholls in a bumper and had excuses when switched to hurdles next time after he struck into himself. He was sent off only 5/1 in a hot Sandown race which included Supreme hope Constitution Hill next time out which shows the regard in which is he held, and this looks a much easier assignment for him to get back on track with the extra distance also helping his claims.

13:45 Ascot – Garry Clermont (Niall O’ Reilly)

Garry Clermont looks to have an excellent chance here after two very good runs at this track on his last two starts. Last time he finished 3rd behind Tritonic in what looked a stronger race than this, shaping as if a step back up in trip would suit. He gets that here, and the fact he goes so well at the track bodes really well for his chances. Stellar Magic and Unexpected Party rate the main dangers, though I’m hoping Gary Clermont just has too much for them.

14:15 Navan – Macs Charm (Ryan McCue)

A mark of 107 looks well within Macs Charm’s reach. He was only beaten 11 lengths by both Keskonrisk & Battle Of Actium in maiden hurdles back in 2020 and although he hasn’t been seen much since then his second at Wexford last time was a very solid effort. It’s a competitive looking handicap here but Macs Charm shouldn’t be far away.

15:40 Lingfield – Lower Street (each way) (Sam Kirwan)

Lower Street runs under a penalty after winning nicely six days ago. It looks like there will be a fair pace to chase with two Mark Johnson runners in the field. She looks a good each way bet.

Defi Du Seuil beats Un De Sceaux at Ascot 2020

16:05 Ascot – Galia Des Liteaux (Frank Hickey)

Galia Des Liteaux easily won a point to point in October and she quickly left to go to Dan Skelton for £70,000. She went to Wetherby for a maiden hurdle over Christmas and was extremely impressive when winning by thirty lengths un-extended. She is up against the geldings here but she looks to be well above average and it will take a good one to lower her colours.

20:50 Aqueduct – Leeloo (Donal McKenna)

Leeloo put in a performance to note in is 2nd start in a maiden for Trainer David Duggan, Duggan is not noted for his 1st time up winners so we can overlook his debut. He was an eased down winner in a decent Aqueduct maiden in early December and now going for a competitive stakes race. He’ll be a working mans price to back here while also getting the pace in the race to suit him.
