13:30 Ludlow – High Tech (Steve Mullington)
HIGH TECH is 2-11 on the Flat in France, finishing second of 16 in a soft-ground 1m4f handicap at Strasbourg on his most recent start. The selection changed hands for 35,000euros later in November and has joined an in-form yard with an excellent strike-rate. Commands plenty of respect, especially if strong in the market.
13:45 Wincanton – Lord Of Kerak (Ipswich Star, Matt Polley)
LORD OF KERAK hasn’t progressed since winning Uttoxeter novice in December 2020 but made satisfactory seasonal debut when fifth at Ayr (2m4f, soft) last month and remains unexposed at around 3m.
18:00 Newcastle – Antiphon (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)
ANTIPHON got off the mark at the fourth time of asking when making all in a 6f novice at Chelmsford last month. Was a beaten 5-4 favourite at Lingfield on his handicap debut 17 days ago and now drops back to 5f which will suit.
19:00 Newcastle – Tathmeen (Morning Star, Farrindgon)
TATHMEEN is a five-time course winner who continues to drop down the weights. However, he’s on a sequence of mid-division finishes and needs to raise his game if he’s to exploit his attractive mark.
