A revival from Zenzero isn’t out of the question, while Saulire Star made an encouraging start for this yard and the drop back in trip isn’t necessarily a negative. BALQAA flopped when last seen but her previous second at Redcar was very encouraging and a wind operation and cheekpieces could prompt some improvement.

17:30 – Melodic Charm
John Quinn is likely to squeeze further progress from Miss Nay Never this year but whether she will be fully primed for her return from a break remains to be seen. Ornate is of obvious interest from a handicapping perspective, while most of the others have something to recommend them, notably Ballyare and Buniann. A strongly run 5f might be just what the free-going MELODIC CHARM wants though and she may be able to defy top weight.
18:00 – Firebomb
Unfinishedsympathy drops back in grade for her handicap debut and could go well but perhaps the durable FIREBOMB will be able to follow up his Southwell success last month. Antiphon fluffed his lines at Lingfield last time.

How Impressive may prove best of the newcomers but both Swinton and DION BAKER shaped well on debut and may fight this out. The selection only tied up late on slow ground at Doncaster on his debut and he can put that experience to good use today.
19:00 – Intervention
Things didn’t go in favour of INTERVENTION when he was narrowly denied a quick double on Saturday, and Mick Appleby’s recent recruit can return to winning ways today. Oriental Lilly has been running really well here of late and is second choice, ahead of Thaki who can build on his New Year’s Eve return to action.
