Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

14:35 Plumpton – Top And Drop (Steve Mullington)
Questions for all of these to answer, mostly regarding either recent form or the ability to defy their current marks. TOP AND DROP left everything on the course when obliging at Wetherby over Christmas and may yet prove vulnerable if this comes too soon, with one-time Sussex National second Uallrightharry perhaps best placed to capitalise if his below-par Exeter run is forgiven. Cheque En Blanc, right back to his best in defeat last time, is next preferred.
17:05 Southwell – Percy Willis (The Guardian)
Aljaryaal is on the up and should make another bold bid with first-time cheekpieces a possible source of further progress. PERCY WILLIS and Smokey Malone are respected opponents but Elhafei is very well treated on last summer’s turf form and could leave last month’s Wolverhampton run behind him.

17:35 Southwell – Mawkeb (Morning Star)
The cheekpieces keep continuing to deliver for Lucayan, winner in that headgear for the fourth time out of four when taking a class 5 handicap at the first attempt over C&D ten days ago. Capable of winning having chased the leader as well as being held up, this smaller-field affair shouldn’t present the Parr filly with any insuperable tactical challenges.MAWKEB, still only five career starts in, is next preferred.
18:05 Southwell – Dubai Elegance (Daily Telegraph)
Having opened his account in a similar event here eight days ago, Back From Dubai may be able to build on that success and defy a 5lb penalty. With a 4lb pull Magic Gem (second choice) holds every chance of reversing last week’s C&D placings with DUBAI ELEGANCE, who is respected all the same. Beau Geste and Hunters Step are like two peas in a pod, as they should be major contenders at this level if returning to form.
Tuesday’s Lucky 15:
14:35 Plumpton – Top And Drop
17:05 Southwell – Percy Willis
17:35 Southwell – Mawkeb
18:05 Southwell – Dubai Elegance
