RORY DELARGY:
“It looks like Willie Mullins has a stranglehold on this, there are a lot of promising mares in there. The one who has impressed me most is Dinoblue. I loved the way she did it on her debut for the yard – her jumping was superb, she looked really well balanced and had a perfect temperament the way she went around. You’d like to think she’d improve a fair bit for that. She looks well on her way to becoming a high-class mare over hurdles.

“Allegorie De Vassy was in a race where it was difficult to catch the eye but she was impressive in the end. She was held up and didn’t show herself off as much but her jumping was good and when asked to go on she easily put distance between herself and the others. There looked to be an awful lot left in the tank but what we’ve seen of Statuaire and Grangee so far is closer to what the finished article is going to be.
“Elle Est Belle is very interesting on paper as she’s already run to a high enough level to be competitive here. She was third in the Champion Bumper last year despite being ninth off the home bend. She also came from a long way back to claim second at Aintree.

“She’s got the running style to be held up in the field and settle well. She’s impressed me over hurdles and finished second behind Jonbon on her latest start. She could go to the Betfair Hurdle and how she performs there could define what race she goes for at the Festival.
“At this stage I like the look of Dinoblue for the Mares Novice Hurdle the best but I’d have a lot of respect for Brandy Love, who has got a lot of scope jumping wise and has shown a good turn of foot, and Allegorie De Vassy as connections seem very bullish about her.”
