Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

WolverhamptonRacesJul20

12:45 Ludlow – Dr T J Eckleburg (888Sport)

Two-time Flat winner DR T J ECKLEBURG was a promising second on last month’s hurdle debut at Newbury and is taken to go one better today. Useful Flat recruit Imperial Sun is feared most on his first run for Oliver Greenall, while Illico Des Places and Angels Landing could be capable of much better than they showed last time.

13:00 Taunton – Jpr One (Racing Post)

A few of these are likely to have futures but it is difficult to get away from JPR ONE, who has looked an above-average novice in his two starts. Tango Tara could provide the biggest threat while Hostile is worth keeping an eye on.

16:00 Wolverhampton – Dark Design (The Sun)

On the back of a solid stable-debut success at Chelmsford, DARK DESIGN is taken to follow up. Intervention (second choice) is respected on his second start for shrewd new connections, while Broughtons Flare and Okaidi complete the shortlist.

18:00 Wolverhampton – Dark Pine (Wolverhampton Express & Star)

Quirky customer Fox Tal has the clear best chance at the weights back down in grade but it remains to be seen whether he gets the job done. He carries his head high, doesn’t seem to knuckle down properly and hasn’t won since 2019. Admittedly he may not need to perform to his best but a tempting alternative is DARK PINE, who nabbed Fox Tal in the final strides at Chester last May and has a solid AW record. Kenzai Warrior also warrants respect.
