Beach Break has the recent form, over C&D too, but may again be vulnerable for win purposes. Al Kout will probably be back on the premises and he is second on the list to BLACK KALANISI who won a jumpers’ bumper one year ago and was also runner-up last January in a Flat handicap. Niblawi is another one to consider.

Some progressive fillies descend on this race and preference for LIBBY AMI is only slight. She has been with several trainers and tends to either win or go close after a change of scenery so her winning debut here for this yard was only following a pattern. However, she beat a useful yardstick in quite taking style so is preferred to Lucayan, with Nushafreen and Biplane also likely to have a say.
13:40 – Masqool
This looks very competitive with several runners of interest. Inexplicable, Shyjack, Masham Moor and Cashel all feature in calculations but the really interesting one is MASQOOL. He had a bit up his sleeve when winning here eight days ago and a 3lb rise is unlikely to prove beyond him. Inexplicable is second choice.
14:10 – King Of War
A front-running third to a hotpot at Wolverhampton didn’t say much that was new about KING OF WAR but he did run a useful fourth in smart company at Nottingham last summer before a layoff and he should be able to make his mark in handicaps. Sterling Knight looks the main danger ahead of Leap Abroad, with the latter having yet to prove himself over this far.
14:40 – Wynter Wildes
While Golden Spice has one notable piece of form and Sea Formula represents William Haggas, others appeal more. Sen Ding is the form horse but Government and WYNTER WILDES could be ready to improve past him after showing their inexperience in a big way first time out. It is hard to say which of the two will improve most but the vote goes to the filly.
15:10 – Hello Me
An interesting sprint with Aberama Gold, Astro Jakk, Fauvette and Louie De Palma all having something to recommend them. HELLO ME (nap) is developing into a very useful performer on synthetic surfaces, though, and she can take another step up the ladder today.

While several others have produced recent commendable efforts, the closest fit over this trip are RESET BUTTON and Batocchi. Judged on the last three starts of both, it may well be a good scrap between them.
