Matt is all over the tellybox action at Sandown and Wincanton.

Wincanton 13.30 – Noble Savage

ITV Saturday starts here with a handicap hurdle over 1m7f. NOBLE SAVAGE might have an each-way chance in a poor heat. Nigel Twiston-Davies trains with Finn Lambert taking off a whopping 10lb. Yet to win a race after nine starts, my hope has two fair seconds to his name at Wincanton and Lingfield and a mark of 101 looks fair.

Sandown 13.50 – Gunsight Ridge

ITV are also at Sandown on Saturday getting under way with this handicap chase over nearly 2m. GUNSIGHT RIDGE has been knocking at the door in recent starts and this is when it really should open. Trained by Olly Murphy, my hope was decent at Exeter and Aintree recently but with Aidan Coleman up here he can get off the mark for this season and record a second success.

Wincanton 14.05 – Another Crick

This is a handicap chase over nearly 2m. ANOTHER CRICK is chucked in on some old form and ran reasonably at Leicester last time so might get back to winning ways for Noel Williams and the excellent Tom O’Brien. Once rated 134 he races here off 122 and is having a second run after a wind operation. He has every chance.

Sandown 14.25 – Constitution Hill

This is the big one, the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle for novices over 2m. And it should be easy to sort out, with the hugely exciting CONSTITUTION HILL looking a fabulous prospect for Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville. It was the way the five-year-old quickened up the Sandown hill last time that suggested he was something special and this is not a great renewal.

Wincanton 14.40 – Blairgowrie

Now a handicap hurdle over an extended 2m5f. Some unexposed runners in here, and this might be the day for BLAIRGOWRIE to score for Nicky Henderson and James Bowen. The gelding cost a few quid back in the day and is off a mark of just 112 after four runs. One or two of his efforts suggest he’s not without ability and he should get home on this tight track.

Sandown 15.00 – Rolling Dylan

A veterans’ handicap chase over 3m. ROLLING DYLAN is not the easiest horse to win on, but he surely has each-way claims at least here for the master Philip Hobbs and Michael Nolan. He’s got a lovely racing weight of 10st 5lb with the likely favourite Aso keeping the weights down and two recent runs at Sandown and Aintree suggest he’s still got some ability. I’ll have a few quid on him to place.

Wincanton 15.15 – Slate House

A handicap chase over 2m4f. SLATE HOUSE has been dismal over hurdles this season but might enjoy going back over fences here for Colin Tizzard and Brendan Powell. The ten-year-old is a very well handicapped horse now but it’s pretty much guess work what ability he has left. Fingers crossed he has enough to go well here. He’s once been rated about 20lb higher.

Sandown 15.35 – Natural History

A handicap hurdle over 2m. I’m going off the cliff with NATURAL HISTORY but I remain convinced he’s got a good win in him and he’s dangerously well handicapped. Trained by Gary Moore and ridden by his son Jamie, my hope did nothing at Doncaster last time and was a crazy horse at Fontwell the time before. He’s got the ground he wants here and bottom weight. I’m praying!

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
