Three Platoon impressed at Wolverhampton recently but things fell right for him to a certain extent and this longer trip on a more testing track asks a new question of him. Up against him is another improving young stayer in RIGGSBY who was well suited by this C&D when winning a shade cosily last month and he still has potential. Mukha Magic has another big run in him and can also be involved.

Bang in form and mildly progressive by the looks of things, ready preference is for RESET BUTTON (nap). Recent course winner Selecto should be fine over this longer trip and is feared most, along with Lady Shanawell.
The promising TYRRHENIAN SEA is taken to defy a 7lb penalty for his debut success. Broomy Law looks the biggest threat on form, unless El Jad takes a step forward from his fourth to the selection last time.

Preference is for MAGIC GEM, who has a good chance at the weights and is comparatively unexposed. He ran well over C&D when last seen and looks open to further progress at a modest level on AW. Stand Free (second choice) and Trevie Fountain are major players on these terms, while the ex-Irish Ranger Bob also enters calculations.
An open-looking race as Darwell Lion and Lightening Company are unexposed types, while IMPERIAL COMMAND and Star Shield are solid contenders and it’s also hard to rule out Alyara who may well dictate the tempo. Slight preference is for Imperial Command, who has a good record at this course. Darwell Lion is second choice.
Provided she backs up last week’s C&D effort, BAKR has a cracking chance off 3lb lower dropped in class. Birdie Bowers (second choice) warrants respect on his November course form, while Seeking Perfection and Atrafan are interesting off their current marks.
This looks the perfect time to catch LOUIS TREIZE, who is likely to stage a revival on his debut for an in-form stable and first run since wind surgery. His sole win came over this C&D and he returns here off a very handy mark. Fircombe Hall (second choice) has solid claims and should go well again, while the maidens Elektronic and Penombre are also on the shortlist.
There should be more to come from WHITTLE LE WOODS back on AW and he looks the type to do well this winter for his shrewd new connections. He’ll be all the more interesting if the market speaks positively. Late Arrival, Burrows Seeside and Stay Smart look the chief threats, in that order of preference.
