12:20 – Ben Buie
Several have possibilities but BEN BUIE has really got his act together over fences with convincing wins in his last two starts and he may well be able to complete the hat-trick on this step back up in trip. The other last-time-out winners Rizzardo and Lord Sparky are feared most in that order, though Caro Des Flos was a creditable third at Market Rasen last time and could be dangerous if he can back that up.

12:50 – Timeless Beauty
Pretty good cases can be made for most of the runners in this competitive novices’ handicap. Top of the list is TIMELESS BEAUTY, who won quite comfortably on her stable/chase debut in November and was placed behind Saturday’s Cheltenham heroine Vienna Court last month. Ahead Of The Field moves back up in trip after last month’s 2m4f course win and is second choice. Others for the shortlist are Revels Hill, Byzantium Lad and Get Your Own.
13:20 – Itso Fury
In what could turn out to be quite a warm bumper the suggestion is ITSO FURY, who changed hands for a six-figure sum soon after finishing second in a valuable event at Fairyhouse in April. Warwick runner-up Grand Knight is second choice but Ballyglass, Barnards Green and Pour Me Another have also shown significant ability under rules. Ballycamus recently had the form of his Irish point win nicely boosted, while newcomers Mochachocachino and Symbolic Spirit look interesting on paper.
13:50 – Mind Sunday
Signal Point has shown more than enough in bumpers to suggest she can win a race of this nature over hurdles in the near future but preference is for Newbury bumper winner MIND SUNDAY, who ran well in defeat on her hurdling debut in November. The selection’s subsequent run against males on heavy ground can easily be overlooked.

14:20 – Brorson
It’s hard to know which way to turn here but recent Catterick winner BRORSON could have significant untapped potential over 3m and gets the nod. Handicap debutant Kayf Hernando also moves up in trip today and is feared most but Friary Rock looks interesting on his debut for Laura Morgan, while Finawn Bawn and Lecale’s Article could both be highly dangerous if back on song.
14:50 – Colonel Manderson
This can go to COLONEL MANDERSON (nap), who has not been with Dan Skelton for long and was a market springer when a close second back over hurdles at Taunton last month. Second choice is the unexposed Wild Wilbur, who caught the eye with his staying-on third at Plumpton and is open to more progress upped to 3m on his handicap debut. Another to consider is On Springs, who has posted three solid efforts in handicaps and has possibilities on his switch to this stiffer stamina test.

15:20 – Barrakhov
There might be more to come from last-time-out winner Kazontherazz but BARRAKHOV stuck to his task pretty well when fifth behind her on last month’s seasonal debut and is selected in the hope that outing did him good. Independence ran very well in defeat on his handicap hurdle and is next on the list although, with Lorcan Williams no longer eligible to claim 3lb, he’s effectively 5lb higher here.
