NAP of the Day: Sunday’s NAPs Table of horse racing tips in the UK & Ireland

Here we go. One of the biggest afternoons on the racing calendar in the UK and Ireland. There are 11 meetings across the tracks in the UK and Ireland on a bumper Boxing Day programme – and our nifty NAPs Table is here to give you a steer on the day’s best bets.

Frodon – with Bryony Frost in the saddle once again – attempts to defend his King George VI Chase crown at Kempton but faces competition from dual winner Clan Des Obeaux and Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Minella Indo. Epatante will feature in the Christmas Hurdle while the card’s other Grade 1, the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase, sees Ahoy Senor meet Bravemansgame.

Wetherby plays host to the Grade 3 Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase while there’s also National Hunt action at Fontwell, Huntingdon, Market Rasen, Sedgefield and Wincanton. Wolverhampton, meanwhile, has all-weather racing from 1.50pm.

On the other side of the Irish Sea, Leopardstown kicks off the four-day Christmas Festival with the Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase being the standout. Arkle Chase antepost favourite Ferny Hollow attempts to make it two from two over fences but could face competition from Riviere D’etel.

Limerick also gets in on the Grade 1 action with the Faugheen Novice Chase at 2.40pm. Gabynako proved popular in our antepost betting after a cracking start to life over fences for Gavin Cromwell. There’s also a meeting at Down Royal.
