14:50 Chepstow – The Big Dog

The Irish have a couple of solid runners in this one. Jess Harrington has Discordantly, who could be an attractive proposition. It’s a cracking race, but I like THE BIG DOG trained by Peter Fahey. He’s relatively unexposed as a handicap chaser.

There’s a good race in him and I don’t believe we’ve seen the best of him yet. This has been the plan for him all along and Jonathan Burke is on board to replace the suspended Jamie Codd. He jumps well and he will stay. The Big Dog will do me!

14:55 Leopardstown – A Wave Of The Sea & Noble Yeats

This will be a big dash to the first fence at Leopardstown, where anything can happen! You can see why Alfa Mix is around the top of the betting. However, I’m picking for A WAVE OF THE SEA for Joseph O’Brien. He’s impressed over fences and he could be well handicapped. He’s won a Grade 1 at this track before too.

Another one to keep an eye on is NOBLE YEATS. He’s been running over a shorter distance at Cork recently and I’m not sure how well handicapped he is, but he’s of interest when stepping up to 3m.
