I’m a big fan of Champion Green and I was impressed by him when he won at Punchestown on the Flat in October. He won in good style. He shaped well on his hurdling debut at Cork recently too. On the back of that run, he should take plenty of beating.
Ahoy Senor was really impressive at Newbury last time out and it confirmed he’s a horse with immense promise. It’s great to see Ahoy Senor and Bravemansgame go head to head but I see Ahoy Senor winning.
This is a great competitive race but I fancy Mt Leinster Gold. I was on her a couple of times last year when she won at Wexford and she loves testing conditions. She’ll be all the better for her recent run. Even despite top weight, she’s the one for me.
Ferny Hollow won impressively at Punchestown earlier this month after a 12 month layoff. His last run before that we saw him beat Bob Olinger at Gowran Park. Given his Punchestown performance, he’s the horse to beat. It’ll be disappointing if he’s beaten.

Gabynako is a threat but I’m going with Farouk D’alene for Gordon Elliott. He loves testing conditions and he’s got a lot of upside. He stays well, which is needed in Limerick.
It’s great to see horses like Asterion Forlonge competing in the King George VI Chase and he could be a big player but I’m on Minella Indo. He’s a Gold Cup winner and he’s relatively unexposed still. He’s the one to beat. Henry de Bromhead’s record in England is exceptional and Rachael Blackmore should be on board too.
