Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

HELLO FROM PADDY POWER NEWS!

Not sure what the NAPs table is? Well, it’s an independently-run competition compiling the best of UK and Irish newspapers’ tips into a handy table based on their profits to Level Stakes.

The cream rises and we’ll be skimming the best bets off the top on Wednesday to present a Lucky 15 (four horses, 15 bets) for your consideration. So, with another day’s racing looming into view, here’s the four best bets about in the UK and Ireland on Wednesday.

Newbury 14:35 – Wonderwall (Steve Mullington)

WONDERWALL was an Ascot bumper winner on his debut last November and placed in a Listed event there next time. There was no disgrace when seventh at Cheltenham in March (ahead of Shearer) and he’s an interesting prospect now switched to hurdling.

Lingfield 15:25 – Lady Pendragon (Morning Star, Farringdon

LADY PENDRAGON has been dropped 15lb since returning to Britain from France (1-1 there) and shaped nicely at Wolverhampton last week, despite being tapped for toe when pace lifted and briefly short of room (well backed in first-time cheekpieces; retained). The selection will be a big player on this step up in trip, if settling, for last year’s winning yard.

Dundalk 16:00 – Maggie Thunder (Racing Post, The Punt)

MAGGIE THUNDER is a three-time winner on this surface, most recently over C&D in April. This selection has not seen since down the field in a Naas handicap in June but can run well fresh and is not to be underestimated here. Tongue-tie and cheekpieces tried.

Kempton 17:15 – Poppy Bouchet (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)

POPPY BOUCHET is a 8,000gns yearling who is the second foal of a 1m (Listed) and 1m2f winner. Hollie Doyle has a 3-7 record for the stable in 2021 and this newcomer needs keeping a very close eye on in the betting.
