Frank the Tank doesn't need to be asked twice for a Friday fancy.

12:40 – Corach Rambler

Corach Rambler is very lightly raced with only five starts under rules and his trainer Lucinda Russell is 7-28 the past two weeks. He was 2-3 over hurdles and was behind Threeunderthrufive over hurdles. He was impressive last time at Aintree on second start over fences when easily accounting for Sail Away over 3m1f and was well backed there also. Russell mentioned that the Scottish National was in the back of her mind for this horse, which shows the regard that she holds him in and a 7lb rise for that Aintree win underestimates him.

13:15 – The Grey Falco (Each Way)

The Grey Falco had some useful form in novice hurdles last season. He took a big step forward from hurdles debut to win at Chepstow on his second start. He was third behind Minella Drama (now rated 147) and Ballybeg (135) at Bangor. He was second to Calico at Ludlow when conceding 6lbs to him. Calico now rated 134 but was rated 140. I thought he ran nicely on his reappearance when fifth at Bangor behind Hunters Call. The handicapper has dropped him 3lbs to a mark of 119 and he is surely capable of winning off that mark. He might want proper testing ground to be at his best but he might get away with the ground here and the yard had a well backed winner at Uttoxeter during the week, while Kateson ran a excellent race at Aintree last week also.

13:50 – Dame du Soir (Each Way)

Fontaine Collonges won nicely at Warwick last time out and has gone up 7lbs for that, which seems a fair rise. Rose Of Arcadia is also interesting and impressed on her return at Wincanton last month. However, I’m taking a chance on Dame du Soir (each-way) for David Bridgwater. She won at Chepstow earlier this year off a mark of 120 and her form holds up. She would probably want more testing ground than it is at the moment but she’s worth taking a chance on at a decent price.

14:25 – Mister Fogpatches (Each Way)

The biggest question for this race is whether Enrilo comes into it healthy. You imagine he will after looking fine following his fall in the ultra-competitive Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury. However, I’m going to side with Irish raider Mister Fogpatches. His record isn’t as good as you’d want but his record when running 3m or over is impressive. He’s rock solid to run his race and he could be the one.

    15:00 – Diesel DAllier

Diesel DAllier is the one to beat. He looked good at the Cheltenham November meeting but just came up short and finished third. I backed him that day so I’ve got to go again here!

15:35 – Botox Has (Each Way)

Sporting John is the one to beat off a mark of 151 but I’m going to side with Botox Has (each way), who I’ve backed for a while now. He finished eighth in the Greatwood Hurdle at the November meeting, but his run wasn’t actually that bad. He’s much better when running over 3m instead of 2m and he’s now rated 136. I’ll back Botox Has to take on Sporting John.

    Frank Hickey’s best bets:

    12:40 – Corach Rambler
13:15 – The Grey Falco (Each Way)
13:50 – Dame du Soir (Each Way)
14:25 – Mister Fogpatches (Each Way)
    15:00 – Diesel DAllier
15:35 – Botox Has (Each Way)
