12:30 Peloric
This weak seller provides PELORIC with a good chance to open his account. Jeremy Scott’s 6yo reportedly had a breathing issue when dropping out tamely in the home straight at Exeter last month but he travelled well to a point there and the refitted tongue-tie will hopefully aid his finishing effort here. Colonel Lesley ran well when dropped to this grade at Leicester recently and is second choice.
HELLO FROM PADDY POWER NEWS!
13:00 Paso Doble
Jeremy The Jinn showed more than enough in bumpers to suggest he can make an impact over hurdles fairly soon but the one to beat is Kempton winner PASO DOBLE, who ran to a useful level when second in a handicap last month and now switches back to novice company. Useful Flat-racer Sword Beach makes his hurdling debut and also looks interesting.
13:35 Lime Drop
It’s hard to look beyond LIME DROP, who is ahead of the handicapper under a 7lb penalty for last Thursday’s easy win at Leicester. Midnight Callisto could be the chief threat on the back of a good run at Southwell, with Folly Gate next on the list.
14:10 Jeremy Pass
Some up-and-coming chasers and preference is for the Paul Nicholls-trained JEREMY PASS, who beat just two rivals to win at Ascot but did it nicely. Second choice is Lord Accord, who has also shown progressive form on his first two chase starts, while Organdi and Winds Of Fire could also figure.
14:40 Only The Bold
Guernesey and Getalead fought out a tight finish at Warwick last month and both have run very well again since but this might be won by something less exposed. Nicky Henderson’s handicap debutante Gran Luna won two novice events last season and Osprey Call was running a big race when coming to grief at Newbury last month but it could be worth chancing ONLY THE BOLD, who didn’t have the race run to suit on his seasonal debut and might have needed that run anyway.

15:10 Nickolson (NAP)
There were only two finishers when NICKOLSON (nap) was second on last month’s chasing debut at Warwick but that was a very good race and he pushed a useful rival all the way to the line. He moves back into a handicap off an unchanged mark here and gets the vote. Glajou ran okay over hurdles here on his seasonal reappearance and has good claims if judged on his third to Master Work in this race last year but the biggest threat to the selection could be Quoi De Neuf, who lurks on a dangerous mark.
15:40 Freddy Fanatapan
Recent 2m3f course winner Kendelu is still well treated on form as recent as March and today’s move back up in trip won’t be a problem, but the suggestion is FREDDY FANATAPAN, who was behind two of these when fifth at Exeter recently but ran quite well there and is now on a career-low mark. Carry On The Magic and My Keepsake are both open to improvement on their handicap debuts, while Colonel Manderson reverts to hurdling on just his second start for Dan Skelton and will also be feared if attracting market support.
