11:52 Barony Legends
Hillcrest responded in taking fashion to get back up again on his Aintree hurdle debut, after losing the initiative with a mistake at the last, but BARONY LEGENDS posted a useful RPR of 135 when also making a successful start to his hurdle career so he’s preferred in what could develop into a straight fight between the pair.

12:27 Mill Race King
It’s possible that MILL RACE KING just needed the outing on his recent return from a break so the handicapper might have been generous dropping him 3lb for that. Little Orange (second choice) went down to only a progressive sort last time, while Sublime Heights looks a potential improver with a chase debut reappearance run under his belt.
13:02 Bean In Trouble
The suggestion is BEAN IN TROUBLE who is back in form off a reduced mark and his turn looks near. Skipthescales got back on track when third at Kelso and he too is well handicapped. Mister Sweets, Getthepot and Flexi Furlough are others likely to be involved.
13:37 Saint Palais (NAP)
There was a lot to like about the Worcester win of SAINT PALAIS (nap) and he surely has more to offer as a lightly raced 4yo so he’s selected to take a 7lb hit from the handicapper in his stride. Castle Robin is another low-mileage sort who arrives on the back of a promising display and he’s feared most ahead of Sirwilliamwallace.
14:12 No Risk Des Flos
Olly Murphy continues in excellent form and the unexposed NO RISK DES FLOS may provide him with another winner. The main danger could come from a revitalised Romeo Brown with Haafapiece, who goes well here, third on the list. Benny’s Bridge and Laskadine are well handicapped and should be monitored in the betting.

14:47 Tallow For Coal
It’s hard to rule many of these out and most of them are unexposed over fences but the vote goes to the low-mileage 5yo TALLOW FOR COAL who may overcome a 6lb rise in the weights for his Worcester win. Fellow topweight Big Nasty is feared most, ahead of Onchan and Pennyforapound who are better than they showed on their chasing debuts.
15:22 Fortuitous Favour
The two with experience hardly set the world alight on their debuts and this is likely to go to a newcomer. The most appealing on paper is FORTUITOUS FAVOUR who has a classy pedigree and comes from a yard with a fine record in bumpers. Pam Sly, responsible for last year’s runaway winner Eileendover, has another interesting candidate in Chic Avenue. Archie Watson’s Bounce Back completes the shortlist.
