As competitive as the numbers suggest. Hashtagmetoo should be bang there if they go hard enough, while Alice Haynes will likely get a win out of Beat The Breeze before long. Forge Valley Lad is respected but perhaps WOW WILLIAM can build on the good impression he made when stepped up to 1m4f last time.

Very useful 3yo SISKANY didn’t live up to expectations in the St Simon Stakes but he has been progressive otherwise and is likely to bounce back. The strength of his Newmarket win suggests he’s well up to winning at this level. Fox Tal, though quirky, looks the biggest threat on these terms. Outbox and Tartlette are likely to fill the next two places judged on recent form, though a positive market move for Alignak should be heeded.
18:00 Imperium
Provided he returns from a 229-day absence in top form, IMPERIUM may well be the answer considering he has an impressive record on AW. Nate The Great (second choice) and Here And Now are respected back down in class, while Captain Haddock is also hard to dismiss.
18:30 Endured
The suggestion is ENDURED, who still has very low mileage and may be capable of improvement back at the scene of his novice win. Second choice is Knowwhentorun, who looks open to progress on this surface. State Secretary has major claims if transferring the form of his Tapeta success back to Polytrack, while several others also have possibilities in quite an open race.
19:00 English Spirit (NAP)
There is a lot to like about the way ENGLISH SPIRIT (nap) is progressing and the step back up to 1m should do the trick. He caught the eye when finishing strongly over 7f at this track last time and might be improving too quickly for these rivals. Lucayan won well over 7f here last time and rates the biggest danger. Rania might prove best of the rest.
19:30 Blue Artemis
This should go to BLUE ARTEMIS, who is only 3lb higher than when winning here last month and looks open to plenty of further progress. Platinum Prince doesn’t always look the easiest of rides but he can usually be relied upon to run his race. He rates the main threat ahead of Moxy Mares, who has a similar profile and could run into a place.
