Horse Racing tips: Through the Ayr card on Monday with Timeform

Our racing analysts fancy the unexposed Eagle De Guye (13:05) as the early prices start to drop.

12:30 Lebowski

LEBOWSKI showed only fair form in bumpers last season, but he proved a totally different proposition sent hurdling on debut for Michael Scudamore at Ffos Las earlier this month. He attracted good support and absolutely dismantled his rivals, always travelling powerfully and easily drawing clear.

He looks a good prospect and should be able to follow up under a penalty before having his sights raised. There should be plenty more to come from Sauce of Life too, and he’ll surely get a better chance to show what he’s capable of here.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:05 Eagle De Guye

There are plenty in with a shout in this competitive handicap, but it may pay to side with EAGLE DE GUYE, who is unexposed over fences and remains low mileage for a seven-year-old. He ran well in a first-time tongue tie as he finished third in a handicap chase at Musselburgh when last seen in January and he represents an in-form yard who normally have them ready to roll after a break.

There should be more to come from him, and he can prove too strong for Rapid Raider and Destiny Is All – who represent the Lucinda Russell yard.

13:40 Famous Bridge

A fair bit of potential on show here, but FAMOUS BRIDGE showed enough when runner-up on his hurdling debut at Carlisle to suggest he can go one better now. That was his first start for Nicky Richards and he bumped into a good prospect that day, so there is reason to take a positive view on the form. High Stakes was successful in points and a bumper in Ireland, so rates an interesting prospect on his debut in this sphere for Warren Greatrex.

14:10 Operation Overlord

OPERATION OVERLORD seemingly hasn’t been the easiest to train as all three of his starts so far have been far apart, but he did catch the eye on his first start for 10 months when runner-up at Carlisle in October.

He was encouragingly strong at the finish that day given that he raced freely throughout, and he seems sure to come on plenty for that run. Operation Overlord does need to prove he can stand his racing, but he is very interesting now handicapping from what could prove a lenient mark. Go Bob Go and Kiss My Face also fall into the lightly-raced bracket and are feared most.

14:45 Buzz De Turcoing

BUZZ DE TURCOING took well to chasing in a good-looking novice chase at Wetherby and he enters handicaps now from a fair-looking mark. He wasn’t as good over hurdles as the two he split, but jumped well in the main and promises to have learnt plenty for that initial experience.

This looks a good opportunity for him to go one place better now. Le Cheval Noir also shaped well on his chasing bow at Carlisle and is next on the list.

15:20 River Meadow

Nicky Richards has a strong record in bumpers at this venue, so the well-bred RIVER MEADOW gets the nod to make a winning debut. Confidence would also be increased should the betting vibes be strong. Golden de Couer and Ginger Mail arrive on the back of placed efforts and should play a part again, while it’s taken a while to get Bold Soldier to the track after his point second, but he needs a betting check.
