16:20 Tippy Toes

This looks a warm race with a few having shown promise taking on three last-time-out winners. The vote goes to TIPPY TOES who made quite an impression when spreadeagling her field over C&D three weeks ago and she should take some catching if again finding her stride early. Stablemate Baileys Accolade also won well last time and should again run her race, but Sparked looked as though she would appreciate the return to this trip when beaten a neck at Wolverhampton last time and may prove the best alternative.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

16:50 Say Grace

The draw could have been a bit kinder to SAY GRACE but she has a decent shout on her penultimate Wolverhampton second off this mark and there was a possible excuse last time. Dark Terms could be the main threat if recapturing the level of her Kempton win. Intriguing Lady should also play a part if reacting positively to cheekpieces, while Conducive is a handicap newcomer to note in the betting.

17:20 Leap Abroad

This looks deeper than the first division. LEAP ABROAD shaped quite well when second from a wide stall on his Kempton nursery debut so he gets the nod with Mohammed Tabti taking 7lb off his back. Exceling was a place behind Accelerando over C&D on penultimate start but improved again when scoring with a degree of authority at Kempton since and she’s feared most.

17:50 Arion

The well-bred ARION shaped well when second on her Newmarket debut over this trip at the end of October and is fancied to go one better now with improvement on the cards. Mizzen You (second choice) and Hul Ah Bah Loo can give Hugo Palmer’s charge most to think about.

18:20 Trumble

A classy contest, with the top two in the weights both Listed winners earlier in the year. Mehmento is a possible reviver after wind surgery, particularly as he may not be hassled for the lead in this smallish field, but the one who appeals most is fellow 3yo TRUMBLE. David Loughnane’s charge was impressive in a C&D handicap last time and can stretch his unbeaten course record to four.

18:50 Jack The Truth

A tight-looking sprint. JACK THE TRUTH won off a similar mark here earlier in the year and has gone well fresh before so he gets a tentative vote. The thriving Sir Rodneyredblood is second choice ahead of Red Walls and Restless Endeavour.

19:20 Artemis Sky

The suggestion is ARTEMIS SKY in the hope that she pulls out a little more for first-time headgear. Pirouette Queen would rate a danger if the betting speaks in her favour on this first outing for new trainer George Boughey.

19:50 Hathlool (NAP)

The assessor might have let HATHLOOL (nap) in lightly for this handicap debut given that he beat the reopposing Toromona by just over 2l in a Newcastle novice 17 days ago yet receives 5lb from Charlie Appleby’s representative this time. Fellow 3yo Jenson Benson is on the up and rates a danger at the foot of the weights. Balgair did it nicely enough over C&D last time and is also respected along with Pledge Of Honour.
