It’s worth taking him on with the long-absent CLONDAW DANCER, who looks a likely improver on his chase debut in a first-time tongue-tie. Bebraveforglory and Wax And Wane look best of the rest.

It’s hard to get away from NADA TO PRADA (nap), who is a real chaser on looks and made a promising start over fences when splitting a pair of subsequent winners at Worcester last month. Equus Dreamer was lightly raced over hurdles and looks sure to make a better chaser. He is the main danger, ahead of Molly Carew.

14:35 Winged Isle

A tough call but narrow preference is for WINGED ISLE. He won a hot race at this course in April, beating five subsequent winners, and a reproduction of that form would probably be good enough. Last week’s course winner To Be Sure is the big danger and would have been the pick had this race been over further. Faire Part Sivola is best of the rest.

15:10 Gold Clermont

Two obvious players are Tudors Treasure and Gats And Co, who finished second and fourth in a higher grade over C&D ten days ago. The latter is open to improvement and may get much closer to the runner-up this time. An interesting alternative is the unexposed mare GOLD CLERMONT, who should be well suited by this switch to chasing. Fairlawn Flyer, Give Us A Swig and Istorius are other suggestions for the shortlist.

15:45 Time For Hollie

The very similar types Last Of A Legend and TIME FOR HOLLIE look best of the runners with experience. It could go either way and preference for Time For Hollie is only slight. Several of the newcomers are interesting, notably Call Blue, Fancy Your Chances and Hidden Beauty in that order of preference. Any positive market moves should be heeded.
