A barrier trial winner here and not beaten far when making her debut in Listed company here last month, STAR GIRLS AALMAL could now prove the one to beat. Trent and All In The Mind could be the ones to follow the selection home.

Back a furlong in trip Marm could well reverse last Friday’s form here with Holy Divine, but preference is for the top-weight MARSA (NAP) – who still looked a work in progress last time and looks nicely treated on her maiden second here in September.

18:00 Stellar Spirit

This could be a suitable opportunity for STELLAR SPIRIT, who has fair form at 7f/1m and is dropped to this trip for the first time. No Browsin deserves consideration on last year’s third placing at this venue, rather than on the form of two turf outings this year. Cheval Blanc should enter calculations following his recent second over 5 furlongs here.

18:30 Picpoul

A 50-1 winner over course and distance last week, PICPOUL appeared to win with a fair bit in hand and, still relatively unexposed, could be up to defying an 8lb rise here in a handicap lacking strength in depth. Friday’s winner Kartayaz faces a much stiffer task now with a mandatory penalty, 3lbs higher than he is due to go up in future. Light weights Forge Road and Spirituoso may prove sterner rivals.

Probably safe enough to concentrate on the higher reaches of the handicap. Bradesco won in some style here last week over 2m, but should be as effective dropped in trip. Although Female Approach could well get much closer to him this time.
