Each and every day of the racing calendar we bring you a punt-packed NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the picks you’ll require for that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that great guide to work for us, so we’re going to use it to point you in the direction what could be a smart Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
KILBREE WARRIOR wears a tongue strap on for first time today, and was a notable fifth of 18 back at the start of the year in novice hurdle on heavy ground at Naas. Oliver McKiernan’s mare has been off since then, but is a lightly-raced sort who could make her handicap hurdle debut a memorable one.
CHAMP DE GANE is bred to be a decent jumper and caused a stir with a runner-up in a bumper at Down Royal last May. The gelding didn’t live up to that hype in his last outing at the same track three weeks ago, but that could have been a pipe opener for today’s contest.
CRIXUS’S ESCAPE comes from a stable in fine form and won this race last year by 1-and-a-quarter lengths. The Gillian Boanas-trained gelding hasn’t been great on his three outings since that victory, but has returned to the mark on which he scored here last season and that’s a positive.
Olly Murphy has a couple of runners in the field that command respect, namely RIO SILVA and Secret Trix. We’ve got our eye on Aidan Coleman’s mount though, especially as it hits the track for the first time. However, the betting can aid us to confirm what is expected.
