Magistrato was very impressive last time stuffing Rocky Man who re-opposes here. I’ll also keep an eye on the market for Knight Salute for the bang in form Milton Harris.
Finian Maguire is one of the best jockeys in the race so if he has the horse, you’d expect him to get the job done. Mindsmadeup won well in Down Royal and will hopefully like the track, he ran well here in 2019.
No medals for this one but surely Third Time Lucki will be hard to beat. He hacked up over C&D last time when the only issue was that they weren’t going quick enough so he just went and ran his own race. The same could happen here.
I’m expecting a big weekend for Dan Skelton headlined by Protektorat. He has won twice before at Cheltenham and the stable is bubbling to the boil right now. In my mind there are less doubts about him than the others around him at the top of the market.

That run last time where Dragon Bones just didn’t quite catch Bardenstown Lad proves that he not only likes the track but the trip too. I’d say he might be ridden slightly more positively here with that knowledge in the back of the mind.
Bahrain Pride was running in group company last year and then had a wind op. He hasn’t exactly set the world alight but if William Buick can get him to settle, he has a decent chance.
This is obviously a hard race, but Mackelduff has loved good ground and has seen out 2m4f on his last two wins, which suggests the 2m5f should be ideal. Also, the stable is enjoying a purple patch, so there’s plenty to like.
This is a bit of guesswork but I’m taking a chance that Harry Fry has Whisky Express fit and ready to go. He’s had one run, one win, one wind op and one big break since… that’s given him plenty of time to improve.

Instead of just doing the Cheltenham races on ITV on Saturday afternoon, Paddy decided to give you his fab fancies for the whole card!
12:30 Cheltenham – Magistrato
Magistrato was very impressive last time stuffing Rocky Man who re-opposes here. I’ll also keep an eye on the market for Knight Salute for the bang in form Milton Harris.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:05 Cheltenham – Mindsmadeup
Finian Maguire is one of the best jockeys in the race so if he has the horse, you’d expect him to get the job done. Mindsmadeup won well in Down Royal and will hopefully like the track, he ran well here in 2019.
13:40 Cheltenham – Third Time Lucki
No medals for this one but surely Third Time Lucki will be hard to beat. He hacked up over C&D last time when the only issue was that they weren’t going quick enough so he just went and ran his own race. The same could happen here.
14:15 Cheltenham – Protektorat
I’m expecting a big weekend for Dan Skelton headlined by Protektorat. He has won twice before at Cheltenham and the stable is bubbling to the boil right now. In my mind there are less doubts about him than the others around him at the top of the market.
DON’T MISS
14:50 Cheltenham – Dragon Bones
That run last time where Dragon Bones just didn’t quite catch Bardenstown Lad proves that he not only likes the track but the trip too. I’d say he might be ridden slightly more positively here with that knowledge in the back of the mind.
15:05 Lingfield – Bahrain Pride
Bahrain Pride was running in group company last year and then had a wind op. He hasn’t exactly set the world alight but if William Buick can get him to settle, he has a decent chance.
15:25 Cheltenham – Mackelduff
This is obviously a hard race, but Mackelduff has loved good ground and has seen out 2m4f on his last two wins, which suggests the 2m5f should be ideal. Also, the stable is enjoying a purple patch, so there’s plenty to like.
15:40 Lingfield – Dubai Warrior
Dubai Warrior has run over 1m2f at Lingfield four times. He’s won three and got beaten a neck in the other. Enough said!
15:55 Cheltenham – Whisky Express
This is a bit of guesswork but I’m taking a chance that Harry Fry has Whisky Express fit and ready to go. He’s had one run, one win, one wind op and one big break since… that’s given him plenty of time to improve.
