It may be worth chancing BRADESCO who shaped like he might appreciate more of a stamina test when third on handicap debut at Galway last time. The Abbey is back below his last winning mark and Clondaw Hollow is another that will appreciate going up in trip.

14:50 – Ultramarine

It’s very difficult to oppose ULTRAMARINE who has a completely different level of form to the rest of the field having been beaten 6l in a Group 1 on his penultimate outing and he will be very hard to beat if he’s anywhere near that level. All In The Mind is the most likely one to chase him home.

15:20 – Jacque Sullivan

It was an improved effort from JACQUE SULLIVAN here last time and he could be the one to beat if he builds on that making just his third career start. The standard set is hardly insurmountable so both Daisy Jones and Smart ‘N’ Dandy are two to consider following promising efforts in barrier trials here.

15:50 – Never Back Down

This is open but the well handicapped NEVER BACK DOWN may be the answer. He got his head back in front over C&D on his penultimate outing and he probably did too much too soon when bidding to follow up here since. Linus Larrabee is a potential improver up in trip and Crystal Dawn ran with credit at Laytown last week.

16:20 – Abstract

Plenty of attention will be focused on Rita Levi and Shamiyan, who dominated a similar event a fortnight ago, the latter favoured to reverse that form on these altered terms. However, one who could upset the pair is ABSTRACT, who caught the eye finishing strongly to chase home a well-handicapped sort at Galway. Zoffalee is on a potentially dangerous mark.

16:50 – Dream Wisely

Forge Road holds strong claims for Richard O’Brien but DREAM WISELY may prove a stronger stayer now back at probably her optimum trip. Duleek Street is a potential improver on only his second handicap start.

17:20 – Cursory Exam

An open-looking handicap to round off the card. CURSORY EXAM (nap) took advantage of a reduced mark to win over C&D last month and holds strong claims of a follow-up here off a 4lb higher mark and from a good draw. Light Fury is another drawn low and won’t need to improve too much in first-time cheekpieces to play a major role, while one at a longer price who could go well is Rock Ya Boy Ya.
