DARK SWANSONG continued his theme of race-by-race progress when third at Newbury in September and, with this race an easier assignment, he’s fancied to get off the mark. Newcomers Pastel Power and Essencial tick a few boxes on debut.

EXCLUSIVE TIMES looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to open her account now back in trip having been reeled in only late on over 6f at Kempton last week. Speedily-bred debutante Shamilla could prove the biggest threat, especially if the market speaks in her favour, with Ripon-third Meganseighteen appealing as the pick of the remainder for place purposes.

VAXHOLM got the better of a well-handicapped rival at Kempton 10 days ago and a 4 lb rise may not prevent the follow up. Bella Caelia also tasted success last time and is a danger if lasting out over this trip, with Greta Bridge another to consider.
14:50 – Tricolore
TRICOLORE enhanced his good all-weather record when arriving late on the scene to land a C&D handicap last month and, with a 5 lb rise for that fair enough, he earns the vote. Apex King posted his best effort for a while when striking at Lingfield on his latest start in March, but this is more demanding and bigger threats may be posed by Arqoob and Songkran.
15:20 – Resumption
The vote goes to RESUMPTION, who showed more spark than on his debut in April when third in a six-runner minor event on return 3 weeks ago and he remains open to improvement. Umm Hurair is also armed with potential starting out for the Roger Charlton stable and she will be a threat if ready to roll. Ocean Heights is another key player on form, while newcomer Screaming Petrus needs a second look.
15:55 – Holy Bee
A wide-open finale with the narrow vote in favour of HOLY BEE. She was far from disgraced when fourth in a C&D handicap 3 weeks ago and, with the prospect of a little more to come, she could be worth siding with. Thunder Flash is most consistent and feared back up in trip. Grand Pianola and True Romance complete the shortlist.
