Both can be given a chance but the safest option is surely NIKAP, after last week’s ready Ffos Las win on her stable debut. Will Victory ended her latest campaign on a low note but is a potential reviver now switched to fences on her debut for Richard Newland.

13:50 – Earth Business

Manucci ran well enough on the Flat last month and looks the main threat to EARTH BUSINESS (nap), who should certainly appreciate the step up in trip on his handicap debut.

14:20 – Doukarov

All of these have something to prove. DOUKAROV wasn’t seen at his best at Worcester last month and may gain another win if racing more prominently. On The Wild Side will be a serious threat if his jumping stands the test on this second attempt over fences.

14:50 – Imphal

Everything appears to point to IMPHAL following up his Ludlow win, with the drying ground also in his favour. Game front-runner The Tin Miner is the chief danger.

15:20 – Tommie Beau

There is always the chance that humping 12st 7lb, just nine days after his Fakenham success, may prove beyond TOMMIE BEAU but he is given the benefit of the doubt, especially as most of his rivals find it very difficult to win. Stable companion Mogestic heads the dangers.
