12:20 Siroco Jo

SIROCO JO‘s final run of last season was too bad to be true, and he looked a good prospect when winning a course and distance event over course and distance the time before. Paul Nicholls won this race 12 months ago and better is expected from Siroco Jo now.

Hope You Do and Bumpy Johnson rate likely improvers now handicapping and head the dangers ahead of Monarchofthegrange, who has been given a bit of a chance by the handicapper and reappears with his yard in form.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

12:55 Broomfield Burg

Nicky Henderson sent out the smart Dusart to take this race 12 months ago and BROOMFIELD BURG looks to have the same sort of potential. He won his sole start in points and has won his last two starts with plenty in hand, looking a good prospect when making a winning start over hurdles in the spring. He is open to any amount of improvement now. Bumper recruits Silent Revolution, Chancycourt and Boombawn can fight it out for the forecast spot.

13:30 Imperial Alcazar

This looks an ideal starting point over fences for IMPERIAL ALCAZAR having always looked a strong stayer over hurdles, so the galloping nature of this track over this distance is expected to suit ideally.

Silver Forever has been off for 22 months but she did well as a hurdler and commands plenty of respect now sent chasing, while The Cob, a Grade-2 winner over the smaller obstacles, can’t be ignored either.

14:00 Elle Est Belle

A mouth-watering contest with the vote going to Dan Skelton’s useful bumper performer ELLE EST BELLE. She finished third in last season’s Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival and looks just the type to make a successful transition to hurdles.

Ahorsewithnoname’s runner-up effort over this course and distance last year just about sets the standard, so she can give the selection most to think about, ahead of Alan King’s unbeaten hurdler Nina The Terrier.

14:30 One For You

Unlike most of these, ONE FOR YOU is a second-season hurdler on the up, last seen winning a handicap at Market Rasen in March from a 5lbs lower mark, and with the Hobbs yard in good order this term, he could easily pick up where he left off.

Didtheyleaveuoutto ran a cracker when runner-up in the Silver Trophy. On that evidence, the step up to three miles is well worth exploring, while Spiritofthegames is another interesting rival.

15:05 Valleres

A winner of his sole start between the flags, VALLERES showed plenty of promise as a novice hurdler last term and there’s a good chance that there will be better to come from this six-year-old now he makes the switch to fences. Redzor’s wellbeing needs taking on trust following a 20-month absence, but he needs close attention in the betting, while Dublin Four and Smarty Wild are others to consider.

15:40 American Gerry

AMERICAN GERRY shaped with plenty of promise when runner-up in a pair of bumpers during the spring, latterly behind subsequent hurdles winner Kandoo Kid at Taunton in April. He gets the nod to come out on top on return with further progress expected on his return to action. Rambo T, a point recruit representing Olly Murphy( who does so well in this sphere), is feared most ahead of Clean Getaway.
