It’s a super Saturday of National Hunt action across the tracks in the UK and Ireland – and our nifty NAPs Table is the ultimate guide to help you with your punts.
With cracking cards at Ascot, Down Royal and Wetherby plus action at three more racecourses, the leading tipsters in the British and Irish racing press have their work cut out picking their NAP of the day. Thankfully, we’ve gathered their selections and ranked the boffins by their profit or loss to Level Stakes so you know who’s firing in the winners and who, er, isn’t.
The biggest contest of the day takes place at Down Royal, with a field of five set to go to post at 2.50pm in the Grade 1 Champion Chase. Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Minella Indo is the star attraction and competition is provided by Delta Work, Frodon, Galvin and Ravenhill. Elsewhere on the card, Envoi Allen attempts to return to winning ways in the Join Racing TV Chase at 3.25pm.
The Charlie Hall Chase headlines the seven-race card at Wetherby as Cyrname attempts to make it back-to-back wins in the renewal. Paisley Park makes his seasonal reappearance in The West Yorkshire Hurdle at 2.30pm, while there’s also a Listed Mares’ Hurdle.
A decent 14-runner field has been declared for the Grade 3 London Gold Cup at Ascot. Vinndication heads the betting from the likes of Regal Encore, Real Steel and Jerrysback. Musselburgh rounds off the National Hunt action.
Switching codes, Newmarket boasts a trio of Listed contests and there’s racing under the lights on the all-weather track at Wolverhampton.
