12:40 – Consensus De Vega

Azaheer and Sea Formula wholly failed to live up to their support in the betting first time out. CONSENSUS DE VEGA and Flamenco Fan, however, ran well to take minor honours on their debuts and they are easily the pick on racecourse evidence. Crystal Caprice, from a famous family and trained by Sir Michael Stoute, may be the pick of several interesting newcomers.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:15 – Nashwa

Streaky Bay achieved most among the three who have run, all just the once, but it is likely that one of the newcomers will emerge on top. NASHWA and Carnival Girl are tentatively top of the list, with Crystal Estrella and the Haggas pair Golden Lyra and Irresistable also considered seriously.

13:48 – Spinaround

Oh Herberts Reign and Lawful Command have been on a roll in nurseries, with the former looking the more assured stayer today given his wins were over 1m but both horses are highly respected. Preference ahead of Oh Herberts Reign, however, is for the potential shown by Newmarket 7f novice winner SPINAROUND. Charlie Appleby has the gelded New Mission, while the move up in trip looks a big help to High Fibre and Caracristi.

14:23 – State Occasion

It was frustrating that trouble in running denied Noble Dynasty the chance to show last time what he is capable of and it would not be a shock were he to prove significantly better than his current mark. Preference, however, is for STATE OCCASION (nap) who returned to action rather late this season but has been threatening a win. There’s a nagging feeling that Greatgadian might still have improvement in him, so he is third on the list.

14:58 – With The Moonlight

Almohandesah’s latest Longchamp Group 3 fifth is probably the best form on offer but WITH THE MOONLIGHT isn’t too far behind and is fancied to improve past Karl Burke’s charge and stretch her winning run to three. The unbeaten Five Stars and George Boughey’s Mystic Wells are also on the shortlist.

15:33 – Bay Bridge

The 3yo BAY BRIDGE looks ready for this Listed race after keeping his season unbeaten when returning from a five-month absence with another handicap win last time. Majestic Dawn should go well from the front, while German challenger Monty needs respect but the veteran Desert Encounter may emerge late on to follow the selection home.

16:08 – Zakouski

Last year’s winner ZAKOUSKI looks the one to beat on his return to action with no penalty for a Group 2 win at Meydan earlier in the year. He put up a brave fight here on heavy 12 months ago but less testing ground will surely suit better. Jadoomi is interesting on his 2yo form but his readiness for this has to questioned after an absence, while Dante’s Pass is going the right way but takes a big step up in class. Perhaps Safe Voyage will benefit from the return to 1m after not looking a spent force over 7f here last time and prove the main danger, ahead of Dante’s Pass.

16:43 – Farhh To Shy

In-form runners are like hens’ teeth at this time of the year and while Bernardo O’Reilly ran really well at Newbury last week he does have to prove he can stretch his stamina this far now back up to 7f. FARHH TO SHY was unfortunate to get headed right on the line by one who relished the conditions over C&D last month and she is a lot more convincing than most of the runners here. An exception is Areehaa for her in-form yard with Ryan Moore up for the first time and she looks next best.
