Each and every day on the horse racing calendar we gift you a superb NAPs Table so you have the inside track on all the punts you’ll need.
What do you mean you don’t know what a NAPs Table is? Well, it’s an independently-run competition which sees the cream of the British and Irish racing press pick out their best bet of the day. They are ranked on their profits to Level Stakes so the boffins firing in the winners are at the top while those on a losing streak are at the bottom.
As your ever-helpful pals here at PP News, we decided to put that great guide to the work by pointing you towards what will hopefully be a lively Lucky 15 (four horses, 15 bets) on October Bank Holiday Monday in Ireland. The four we’ve picked out are the top tips of some of the top-performing tipsters in the standings. Right, let’s get to the bets!
FAITH DU VAL broke her maiden status at Sligo in August before falling in a mares hurdle at Listowel last month. Gavin Cromwell’s charge will be suited by dropping back to this trip of 2m½f and has a 5lb claimer in the saddle to ease the burden of carrying the most weight.
EKLAT DE RIRE should be hard to beat on what he showed in his first two starts over fences. He was sent off 10-1 for Grade 1 at Cheltenham but unseated rider just after halfway; the strong galloper has a pretty good record when fresh.
Another big run is expected from PITA PINTA, who is nicely drawn and looks well-in after winning last week at Navan. The ground conditions should also suit thanks to impressive form on heavy and soft.
WALNUT BEACH makes plenty of appeal here. He looks a surefire future winner due to being in great nick of late and is only 1lb higher after going close at Thurles on last appearance. 7lb claimer Jake Coen is booked to ride.
