Stockbridge Tap and Desert Emperor have the best form but the former has some questions to answer after a lengthy absence, while Desert Emperor needs to bounce after a disappointing run at Chelmsford 16 days ago. Perfect Country has a striking pedigree and is an interesting newcomer, but the vote goes to Roger Charlton’s well-bred filly NAJEEBA, who was only beaten 2l at Newbury in April and has plenty of scope for further progress upped to this trip on her return.

17:25 – Masque Of Anarchy

There are plenty of in-form contenders in the line-up but the vote goes to Tim Fitzgerald’s improver MASQUE OF ANARCHY, who has won three of his last four starts and still looks feasibly treated off only 3lb higher than for his C&D win last month. Roger Fell’s 3yo Iron Sheriff is feared most, ahead of Monash, who went close behind the selection here four weeks ago. Zealous and Kingson are other key players, while the unexposed handicap newcomer Quiet Thunder needs checking in the market.

18:00 – Antarah

Savvy Victory sets the form standard but when runner-up at Doncaster he split a couple of well-bred Gosden newcomers and now takes on another interesting debutant from that yard, namely ANTARAH whose good credentials will be reinforced if the market speaks positively. Flash Mob and Million Thanks also enter calculations.

18:30 – Elymas

Five of the 14 go beyond sprint distances for the first time in a nursery in which a number have history for pulling hard. Novak and Muveran came away over C&D ten days ago and there’s a good chance the latter, who was getting involved in a finish for the first time having been backed into favouritism, turns things round. Raydoun is another with claims if his stamina holds but a chance is taken on ELYMAS, who was more amenable in the hood last time and still has some potential now upped in trip on his nursery debut.

19:00 – Ballyare

A competitive sprint. BALLYARE, a dual winner over this trip on Tapeta, has run really well over Ayr’s stiff 6f the last twice. Buniann is prolific here and only 2lb higher than last time so has to be feared, along with Queen Of Kalahari and Glorious Rio.

19:30 – Bronze River

Preference is for BRONZE RIVER, who cashed in on a much-reduced mark at Redcar ten days ago and is a big player again back up in trip in his bid to make it 2-3 for Mick Appleby. Musahaba has form figures of 22123 here since August and he’s feared most, though multiple Tapeta winner Elixsoft scored at Ayr in her final run in the spring and has claims if she can pick up where she left off. Another interesting contender is the unexposed 3yo Mc’Ted, who went close from off the pace on his recent handicap debut at Kempton.

20:00 – Visions Of Glory

Top of the list is William Knight’s progressive 3yo VISIONS OF GLORY (nap), who justified favouritism on his drop back to 7f at Wolverhampton last Monday and may well be able to strike again under a penalty to make it 2-3 in handicaps. Second choice is Eyes who went very close at Yarmouth two weeks ago and is only 1lb higher here on her return to Tapeta. Others with each-way claims are Zenzero and Perfect Soldier.

20:30 – Millionaire Waltz

Listen Again is a key player if she can transfer her recent turf form back to AW, while Debated has finished placed here in his last three starts and could make a major impact if he gets a good pace on his drop back in trip. However, the one that appeals most is MILLIONAIRE WALTZ, who improved his record to 2-3 on Tapeta when landing a gamble in good style off a much-reduced mark over C&D ten days ago.
