Shanghai Rock will find this easier, having come in for support over C&D for his new yard early last month off a 4lb higher mark, but the vote goes to HOWZAK, who’s lightly raced and showed much more over 6f here last time from a wide stall. He won’t mind the further drop in trip on that evidence.

Commit No Nuisance finished ahead of LAFAN here on his latest start but the selection has won again since and can defy his 1lb nudge up the weights. Epidemic could have been freshened up by a break and is feared, along with Swiss Knight and Mark Of Respect.

Maajdah fluffed her lines when odds-on for a 5f handicap here last time but she bolted up at Wolverhampton prior to that and could still have a bigger effort in her. Yimou and Araifjan should both give their running but IGOTATEXT has had a light campaign and can prove this mark to be within range.

He may need to improve to defy his penalty but that is quite possible and 1m2f on Polytrack was no problem when beating two subsequent winners at Lingfield last month. Dubai Vision is a notable newcomer.

This looks competitive for the grade. Wimpole Hall drops into Class 6 company for the first time and needs serious consideration, while Engrave, Western Beat, Eaglesglen, Arabic Welcome and Meisterzinger all warrant a second look. ATHERS won a stronger race in good style two weeks ago though and he can cope with his 7lb rise.
